Volunteering in Summer Camps - Community Experience

This program is a great opportunity to improve your English and to get to know the US in a better way than any other tourism program through the practical work experience  ;)

Also it helps the volunteer to introduce his/her country traditions and culture to the Americans and other participants who will be coming from many countries.

What the volunteer has to do?

25 hours per week of the following:

✔ Kitchen Work

✔ House Keeping

✔ Working with Children

Requirements:

 About the Program:

Then you've come to the right program - J1 Visa Camp America Program.

People generally come to the US on this program from all over the world and work in Summer Camps for normal and special needs children for 12-16 weeks plus 30 days for traveling.

✔ Get Pocket Money (ranging in between $150-$200 every 2 weeks). 

🏠 Accommodation:

• Private rooms or Shared rooms and bathrooms - males in a shared accommodation and females in another shared accommodation.

• Sometimes due to the large number of volunteers, rooms are shared between males and females.

📆 Registration Dates:

Program Availability: All summer

• Days off: 2 days per week.
• Minimum period for volunteering: 2 weeks (Preference is given to those who choose a longer period)

💳 Registration Fees: (Does not include HomeAwe Fees)

• Interview Fee ($160) - Fees for the organization's interview and for the camps before signing the camp's contract.
• US Embassy Fees ($131.35)
• Paper Work ($680) - Paid after the visa is issued (work permit fees, health insurance for the full period, social security number, registration in the American visitor tracking system, round-trip airline ticket (California is not included), reception at the airport and trips with the camp.

✖ In case of rejection after the interview with the organization or the contract was not secured in the camp, only the $160 is non-refundable, but the $350 is refundable.

Regarding registration fees, flight costs and living expenses in the USA, this opportunity is invaluable. A regular tourist trip would undoubtedly cost more. Here, the experiences you will have with HomeAwe are unique. And the daily life is relatively affordable.

📋 Registration Process:

You have to be a Premium OR an Ultimate HomeAwe+ Member!!

1. Sign up through the program's link down below - your details and answers to the questions will be reviewed and based on that, your acceptance will be determined. (It is preferable not to hesitate in providing clear and explicit answers to the questions without any sense of shyness. The clearer, more spontaneous and heartfelt your answers are, the higher the likelihood of your acceptance).
If we do not contact you within 2 weeks, it means that you have not been accepted.
If you are accepted, we will communicate with you via WhatsApp or email to arrange the payment of the registration fees to reserve your spot in the program.

2. Pay the registration fees of $350 to HomeAwe.

3. Have a personal interview with HomeAwe for introduction and further explanation of details.
After the interview, your acceptance will be official 100%. If, for some reason, you are not accepted after the interview, the registration fee will be refunded on the same day.
Once you are officially accepted 100%, with or without an interview, there is no refund for the registration fees, even in case of an emergency. The fees will be retained until your participation in another program later on if you cancel your participance a month before at least. if you cancel your participation for any reason as a last minute call during the last month then there is no refund and there will be no spots in other programs later on.

4. After applying all the steps before you will be registered officially (all your details will be provided to the host) and  we will provide you with the host's WhatsApp number/email to communicate with them directly, to arrange your arrival day (flights) and to get to know you better before you arrive
