Volunteering in a Farm - Community Experience

we have only 16 available spots per year!!

In the Italian suburbs, 1 hour and a half away from Rome, you can volunteer in a guest house with a big farm.
The Guest House offers a Yoga Retreat Experience in the Farm for their guests.
In the same time, the owner offers an amazing experience for international volunteers to join and help in the farm in some construction projects there and in the kitchen for a few hours a day for 5 days a week.
As an exchange for the volunteers efforts they get free accommodation and free meals a day.

What the volunteer has to do?

5 hours per day of the following:

✔ Kitchen Work

✔ Construction and General Maintenance

✔ Farming

Requirements:

✔ Intermediate English 

✔ Over 18 years old

✔ Accepts Solo & Couples

About the Program:

The work starts at 8:00 and continues until 12:00, with tasks being distributed among the volunteers. As for the remaining hours, volunteers have complete freedom to do as they please; whether it's relaxing, enjoying nature and walking trails with other volunteers, or exploring the nearby city.
Volunteers are required to assist in preparing lunch at precisely 12:00 and dinner at 18:30.

Volunteers are granted 2 days off per week: Thursday, a fixed day off for all volunteers and you have the right to choose another day off in agreement with the host in advance.

The host is friendly and you will be accompanied by volunteers from around the world. The host will also take you on holidays or random days during the week to participate in activities, such as city tours or swimming, relaxing on the beach, going to a restaurant and other events. He will also take care of transportation.

 🛇 It is crucial that you respect the volunteering hours and schedules, so any form of delay is strictly prohibited. It is considered a lack of respect towards the host and the place. 

✈️ Getting to the Farm:
The volunteer is required to arrive at Rome Airport and from Rome, you need to reach Sora by bus (more details will be provided upon registration).

🏠 Accommodation:

• Shared rooms and bathrooms - males in a shared accommodation and females in another shared accommodation.

📆 Registration Dates:

• Days off: 2 days per week.
• Minimum period for volunteering: 2 weeks (Preference is given to those who choose a longer period)

💳 Registration Fees: 

• $500 - HomeAwe Fees.

Regarding registration fees, flight costs and living expenses in Switzerland, this opportunity is invaluable. A regular tourist trip would undoubtedly cost more. Here, the experiences you will have with HomeAwe are unique. And the daily life is relatively affordable.

📋 Registration Process:

1. Sign Up through the program's link down below - your details and answers to the questions will be reviewed and based on that, your acceptance will be determined. (It is preferable not to hesitate in providing clear and explicit answers to the questions without any sense of shyness. The clearer, more spontaneous and heartfelt your answers are, the higher the likelihood of your acceptance).
If we do not contact you within 2 weeks, it means that you have not been accepted.
If you are accepted, we will communicate with you via email to arrange the payment of the registration fees to reserve your spot in the program.

2. After you Sign Up, you'll receive an email that has a link to pay the registration fees to HomeAwe.

3. Have a personal interview with HomeAwe for introduction and further explanation of details.
+ In certain cases, an introductory interview with the HomeAwe team or program organizers will be scheduled to provide more detailed information about volunteering, confirm your acceptance and set a volunteering schedule. After the interview, your acceptance will be official 100%. If, for some reason, you are not accepted after the interview, the registration fee will be refunded on the same day.
Once you are officially accepted 100%, with or without an interview, there is no refund for the registration fees, even in case of an emergency. The fees will be retained until your participation in another program later on.

4. The host will communicate with you directly via WhatsApp or email to give you more information about the program, arrange your arrival day and to get to know you better.
