This is a Consent Form which explains our policies in HomeAwe,
so by your Electronic Signature, it means you agree that you have read all information, details, all conditions mentioned, all the terms, commit to adhering to and working according to them.

We are the first Palestinian Arabic Platform that organizes opportunities and experiences for cultural exchange, based on volunteering or volunteer travel.
The experiences we offer are volunteer experiences and opportunities for self-investment, development, progress, and global engagement in different cultures from around the world. Volunteering helps us open up to a new world, break down barriers of fear and ingrained preconceptions, and free ourselves from many restrictions in our society. The platform offers volunteer experiences for groups led by a leader, and sometimes special tourist trips or group trips led by a leader from our team.

At HomeAwe, the safety and well-being of our volunteers are of utmost importance.
Therefore, we have established the following policies and safety principles to ensure a safe and protected environment for all participants in our programs.

No Refund Policy 🚫

By signing, the volunteer acknowledges and agrees that they have read and understood all agreements, including all program details, rules, and conditions.
They agree that the fees is non-refundable.

• Why is there NO fully Refund Policy of the Registration Fees?

There are hundreds of registrations for each program, and spots are always limited. Your acceptance means you have reserved a spot for yourself, preventing others from participating.
❌ If a participant cancels for any reason, it is unfair to other qualified participants who could have taken your place. Therefore, we need to search for new participants, which means additional work hours for our team, and these hours are accounted for after acceptance. Additionally, qualified participants may not be able to participate due to their commitments to other programs and life obligations.

• If you paid for a Solo Travelling Volunteer Program, there is no refund.

• If you joined us in HomeAwe+ and you bought a package, there is no refund.. If the program you want is Fully Booked. Then we will save your payment and membership for another available program later on (whether you have a Premium or an Ultimate Package).

• If you're a Non-Member in HomeAwe+ and you already paid for the program, and an urgent something came up in your life and you can't participate in the program you registered in. Then you have to find someone to replace you, it is your own responsibility to do that.
If you didn't find someone to replace you, then we will save your payment for another available program later on.

• If you decided to cancel your participation when you've already traveled and joined the program abroad, then there is no refund.

• If you got a Second Warning, you will be immediately removed from the program and the volunteering place by the host, then there is no refund of the participation fees.

• If you're Flight got canceled or delayed, then it is out of our team's responsibility.
We can help you book another flight and give you suggestions. But mainly it is your own responsibility. Or you can contact a Tourist Information Center of your own choice, and they can help you with this matter.

• Volunteer experience is an Individual Journey that relies on an individual's readiness both mentally and physically to delve into it deeply.

• As a platform, we care about providing a Nurturing Environment for you, ensuring basic needs are met. However, the enjoyment of the experience depends on the volunteer, their perspective, adaptability, and acceptance of diverse circumstances.

• In any volunteer program around the world, Perfection is NOT Attainable, and not everything will meet your expectations. This type of experience is filled with personal challenges and requires adaptability and acceptance.
Examples; include sharing accommodation with others, living and interacting with people from around the world, personal expenses, different lifestyles, and cultures.. The more you develop these skills, the more you'll enjoy the experience.

• Adaptation to Your Surroundings: Whether you are an organized or spontaneous person, you will inevitably face unexpected circumstances. Don't rush to judgment; be patient and focus on the positives. Take advantage of every moment during your experience. Give yourself a chance to learn and see how brave, strong, and bold you are to take this step.

• Surrendering to a Positive Perspective: As the saying goes, "not everything one wishes for will be achieved; the winds do not always blow in the direction the ships desire." This precisely encapsulates the concept of surrendering. Accept things as they are and try to enjoy them as much as possible. Try not to expect too much and let the experience guide you with minimal expectations.

• Your Personal Space: We will provide you with your space during the experience. As a team, we will not constantly communicate with you. Once you safely arrive at the volunteering location, your personal journey begins.

• Communication: The more you communicate with the host (program organizers), the more enjoyable your experience will be. Speak up and express your feelings, communicate with them and with other volunteers, and rest assured that the organizers aim to provide a comfortable and enjoyable environment for you.

• Communication with HomeAwe's Team: One of the features of the platform is providing support for volunteers even while they are abroad. You are not alone. Communication with the team is important; we are with you wherever you are! We will try our best to support you emotionally and provide a suitable environment for you to ensure your experience ends on a positive note.

Volunteer Safety Guidelines

At HomeAwe, the safety and well-being of our volunteers are of utmost importance. We have established the following safety guidelines to ensure a secure and protected environment for everyone involved in our programs.
Please read and adhere to these guidelines throughout your participation:

1. Pre-Departure Preparation:
• Obtain comprehensive travel and medical insurance coverage before departure. Volunteers are responsible for purchasing their own health insurance that provides adequate coverage for the duration of their program.
• It is mandatory for volunteers to provide the organization with a copy of their health insurance documentation before leaving to participate in the program.
• Familiarize yourself with the local customs, laws, and cultural norms of the host country.
• Research and understand any potential health risks or required vaccinations for the destination.

2. Personal Safety and Security:
• Always carry a copy of important documents, such as your passport and emergency contact information.
• Stay vigilant and aware of your surroundings, especially in unfamiliar or crowded areas.
• Use secure transportation methods and reputable accommodation options.
• Avoid displaying expensive belongings or large amounts of cash in public.

3. Health and Hygiene:
• Follow recommended hygiene practices, including regular handwashing with soap or using hand sanitizers.
• Drink only bottled or purified water and avoid consuming uncooked or unhygienically prepared food.
• Take necessary precautions to prevent insect bites, such as using insect repellents and wearing appropriate clothing.
• Adhere to any specific health and safety protocols provided by the Organization and local authorities.

4. Transportation Safety:
• Observe local traffic rules and regulations when using any form of transportation.
• Use seat belts and helmets where applicable.
• Choose reputable transportation providers and avoid overcrowded or poorly maintained vehicles.

5. Emergency Preparedness:
• Familiarize yourself with emergency procedures and contact information, including local emergency services and the nearest embassy or consulate.
• Follow any evacuation or safety protocols communicated by the Organization or local authorities.
• Inform the Organization and your designated contacts of your whereabouts and contact information.

6. Cultural Sensitivity:
• Respect local customs, traditions, and cultural sensitivities.
• Dress modestly and appropriately, particularly in religious or conservative areas.
• Seek permission before taking photographs or videos of individuals or sensitive locations.

7. Reporting Safety Concerns:
• Promptly report any safety concerns, accidents, injuries, or illnesses to the appropriate Organization representative or local authorities.
• Cooperate with the Organization in incident investigations and provide accurate and timely information.

Please note that HomeAwe cannot be held responsible for any loss or theft of personal belongings, such as laptops, phones, clothing, or other items. So we highly recommend that volunteers consider obtaining insurance coverage to protect their personal belongings against theft or loss.

By adhering to these safety guidelines, you contribute to creating a safe environment for yourself and fellow volunteers. Please remember that these guidelines are not exhaustive, and you should exercise common sense and caution at all times.
Volunteers are responsible for their own health insurance coverage and the security of their personal belongings. We recommend obtaining insurance coverage for your personal belongings.

Volunteer Agreement

This Volunteer Agreement is entered into between HomeAwe (referred to as the "Organization") and the undersigned volunteer.

1. Volunteer Responsibilities:
The Volunteer agrees to perform the tasks and responsibilities assigned by the Organization and the Host of the Program in accordance with the guidelines provided. The Volunteer acknowledges that they have received and understood the program details, rules, terms, and conditions set forth by the Organization.

2. Voluntary Participation:
The Volunteer acknowledges that their participation in the Organization's programs is voluntary and that they are not entitled to any financial compensation or benefits, except as explicitly outlined in a separate agreement between the parties.

3. Confidentiality:
The Volunteer agrees to maintain the confidentiality of any confidential information shared by the Organization or its clients.

4. Code of Conduct:
The Volunteer agrees to adhere to the Organization's code of conduct throughout their involvement. This includes treating all individuals with respect, refraining from engaging in any form of discrimination, harassment, or harmful behavior, and acting in accordance with the laws and regulations of the host country.

5. Health and Safety:
The Volunteer acknowledges that they are responsible for their own health and safety while participating in the program. The Volunteer agrees to follow all safety guidelines and procedures provided by the Organization and to promptly report any accidents, injuries, or concerns to the appropriate personnel.

6. Volunteer Program Completion and Affiliation Release Agreement:
The Volunteer acknowledges and agrees to the terms and conditions set forth in the Volunteer Program Completion and Affiliation Release Agreement. Please click here to read the document.

7. Volunteer Safety Guidelines:
The Volunteer acknowledges and agrees to adhere to the Volunteer Safety Guidelines outlined by HomeAwe. Please click here to read the guidelines.

8. Indemnification:
The Volunteer agrees to indemnify and hold harmless the Organization, its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising out of or resulting from the Volunteer's participation in the program, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct by the Organization.
The Volunteer agrees that there is no monetary compensation provided by the Organization, and they will not hold the Organization liable for any claims, damages, liabilities, or expenses arising from their participation in the program, except in cases of gross negligence or intentional misconduct by the Organization.
The Volunteer further agrees that they will not be financially compensated by the Organization or any other party in the event of their voluntary withdrawal from the program after registration, payment of fees, and seat reservation. In this case, the Organization will retain the subscription amount for the Volunteer's participation in another program in the same year.

9. Termination:
Either party may terminate this Agreement at any time and for any reason by providing written notice to the other party. Upon termination, the Volunteer agrees to return any Organization property or materials in their possession.

10. Governing Law:
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Jurisdiction]. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of [Jurisdiction].

By signing, the Volunteer acknowledges that they have read and understood this Agreement, including all program details, rules, terms, and conditions, as well as the Volunteer Program Completion and Affiliation Release Agreement and the Volunteer's Safety Guidelines, and agree to abide by them.

Volunteer Program Completion and Affiliation Release Agreement

1. Program Completion:
I acknowledge that my participation in the volunteer program with HomeAwe will come to an end upon the completion of the designated program period as agreed upon.

2. Termination of Affiliation:
I understand and agree that upon completion of the volunteer program, I am no longer considered a member or representative of HomeAwe. Any ongoing relationship or affiliation with the organization is hereby terminated, and I am no longer authorized to act on behalf of the organization.

3. Post-Program Stay and Immigration Responsibilities:
If I choose to remain in the host country after the completion of the volunteer program, I am solely responsible for complying with all applicable immigration laws, rules, and regulations governing my stay as a tourist or other legally permitted status. I understand that I must adhere to the immigration rules and dates provided by the host country's authorities, and any extension or change of status is subject to their approval.

4. Release of Liability:
I fully release and discharge HomeAwe, its directors, officers, employees, and agents from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, or causes of action arising out of or in connection with my post-program stay in the host country. I understand that HomeAwe is not responsible for any legal, financial, or personal consequences that may arise as a result of my decision to stay beyond the volunteer program's completion.

5. Personal Responsibility:
I acknowledge that I am solely responsible for my own actions, choices, and decisions during and after the volunteer program. I will not hold HomeAwe liable for any personal injury, illness, loss, theft, damage to property, or any other unforeseen circumstances that may occur during or after the volunteer program.

6. Compliance with Laws and Regulations:
I agree to comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations of the host country during and after the volunteer program. I understand that any violation of these laws or regulations may result in legal consequences, including deportation or other penalties, for which HomeAwe will not be held responsible.

7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction:
This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of [Country/State]. Any dispute arising under or in connection with this Agreement shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in [Country / State].

By signing, the Volunteer acknowledges that they have read this Volunteer Program Completion and Affiliation Release Agreement carefully and fully understand its contents.. I sign this agreement willingly and voluntarily, acknowledging that I am releasing HomeAwe from any further obligations or responsibilities upon the completion of my volunteer program.
